Story of young Krishna depicting life philosophy

Bal Gopal, The Young Lord Krishna
During His childhood once Lord Krishna solicited mother Yashoda to go with her. Yashoda was preparing to go to Yamuna early in the morning along with the other women of ‘Braj’ on the auspicious day of Kartika Purnima to perform some early morning rituals to be performed in the river.

Finally ‘Bal-hat’ of Krishna compels Yashoda to take him with her. There in the river, many women including mother Yashoda were flowing the lamps in the water. Being busy in her works Yashoda forgets about Krishna and after a while when recalls about him looks for Krishna and finds that the young boy was collecting the floating lamps (fixed on pots made of dry leaves) standing at a knee-deep water.

Curiously she asks her son “Kanha, what are you doing”? Krishna answers ‘inko mein paar lagaa rahaa hun Maa’ means ‘I am dragging them to the shore and I am saving them’. Mother laughs and further asks “can you save all of them”? Kanha answers “Mother, I am saving only those lamps that are coming closer to me, and the lamps that are going away from me, they are going deep into the river”.

Moral – Through this adorable activity of Krishna, He wants to teach the biggest philosophy of human life. The Lord wants to tender the message that whoever will try to be close to Him, He will provide him everything he desires including materialistic comforts as well as salvation and those people who will go away from Him, they will waste their life.

Thus, we should realize that God always loves His devotees and want them to go to Him because He loves them. Human being can opt several ways to become closer to God. It can be through worship, through singing His Bhajans, chanting His names etc. Hence we should make effort to become His dear to make our human life a success and to make Him happy to provide us the divine blessings.
